Inglewood Daily News -- Thursday, Nov. 8, 1956 Newlyweds Honeymoon In Northern California After Church Nuptials Honeymooning in San Francisco following their beautifully appointed church wedding are Mr. and Mrs. William Stevens. The bride was Miss Olga Travorelli of 2149 Cullivan Street, Los Angeles. Calvary Assembly Church at 500 Centinela Avenue in Inglewood was the setting for the ceremony which was solemnized by Rev. Marcus Gaston. Three hundred and fifty guests attended the services which took place on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 8 o'clock in the evening. The radiant brunet bride was an exquisite picture in her formal wedding gown of white chantilly lace made with fitted bodice with upstanding Queen Anne collar and long sleeves and full skirt. Her illusion veil was held in place with a jeweled crown and the bride carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids, lillies of the valley and stephanotis. Bridesmaides, beautifully gowned in forest green velvet and crystalline were Mary Mascaro and Lois Trovarelli. Matron of honor Connie Di Trolio also wore forest green velvet and crystalline. All carried cymbidium orchids in gold and chartreuse. Adorable flower girl Sheila Ann Trovarelli also was in forest green. Arnold McKaig was best man and ushering were Rocky Di Trolio and Robert Daniels. The bridegroom who lived at 11306 Inglewood Avenue is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Steven of Culver, Kansas. WILLIAM V. STEVENS PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The funeral for William V. Stevens, Sparta, Tenn., formerly of Culver, Kan., will be Thursday in Philadelphia, Pa. Burial will be in a Philadelphia cemetery. Mr. Stevens was born April 5, 1920, at Culver. He died of an apparent heart attack Sunday morning while he and his wife were visiting relatives in Philadelpha. Surviving are his wife, Olga; two brothers, Harold J., Grand Junction, Colo., and Donald K., Culver; and two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Sams, also of Culver, and Mrs. Betty Somers, 1421 S. 11th, Salina. Word was received Sunday morning of the sudden death of Bill Stevens who was born and raised on the home place, a short distance east of Culver. Death occurred while they were visiting relatives in Pennsylvania. Details are not known at this time. Funeral services for William (Bill) Stevens formerly of Culver were held at Philadelphia, Pa. Burial in the cemetery there. He passed away suddenly with an apparent heart attach while visiting relatives there. He is survived by his wife Olga, two brothers Harold Jr. of Grand Junction, Colo., Donald K. of Culver, two sisters Mrs. Charlotte Sams of Culver and Mrs. Betty Somers of Salina and a host of friends. He was born April 5, 1920 east of Culver on the Stevens' farm. He lived and worked in California before moving to Spartan, Tenn. where they bought a store. We express our sympathy. |
